Description


A terrestrial fern. Rhizome shortly creeping or ascending, with solenostele, apex peltate. Stipes closely or distantly placed, straminous. Frond sub-diamorphic or monomorphic. Lamina of moderate size, tripinnate or more divided, broad at the base, ultimate pinnules small, narrow, glabrous, herbaceous or subcoriaceous, venation free, except for commissure connecting the tips, sori continuous, along both the margins on the commissure, pseudoindusiate, protected by reflexed and modified marginal or submarginal membranous broad flaps meeting on the costa, sporangium protected by the paraphyses, annulus of about 20 cells, spores tetrahedral, hyaline with thick-ribbed or tuberculate exine and hyaline perispore.
