Description


Twining shrubs or subshrubs. Flowers small or medium-sized in a simple umbelliform or branched corymbose cymes. Calyx 5-lobed. Corolla campanulate or urceolate, lobes narrow or broad, overlapping to the right. Corona single, scales 5, fleshy, erect, attached to the staminal column. Anthers with the connectives produced into inflexed membranous tip, staminal column short. Pollinia erect, solitary in each anther sac. Stigma flat, convex or depressed. Follicles lanceolate, ovoid-oblong, dagger-shaped, glabrous or pubescent.
