Description


Twining lianas. Stem and branches terete, glabrescent or thinly hairy when young. Leaves fleshy, ovate-oblong, elliptic, oblong or linear-oblong, glabrescent or thinly hairy. Cymes umbellate, solitary at the nodes, pubescent. Calyx lobes ovate to ovate-lanceolate, margin ciliate, glandular within at the base. Corolla sub-rotate or shallowly campanulate, lobes ovate to ovate-lanceolate with ciliate margin, imbricate to the right. Corona absent. Gynostegium short, within the tube. Anthers broad, with thin white membranous tip. Pollinia oblong-lanceolate, erect, solitary. Caudicles narrow, long, curved at the back perpendicularly to the corpuscles, corpuscles linear, narrow. Follicles ovoid or globose. Seeds without a coma.
