Description
Woody,
twining, evergreen shrubs; with watery latex. Leaves opposite, ovate, elliptic
or ovate-lanceolate. Inflorescence axillary, peduncles long, many-flowered.
Calyx eglandular, lobes 5. Corolla glabrous, tube shortly cylindrical, lobes 5,
overlapping to the right. Stamens inserted at the base of the corolla tube,
anthers sagittate, adnate to the style apex. Fruit a bilocular capsule with two
longitudinal grooves.
