Description


Rhizome climbing or creeping growing end only covered with imbricating round peltate brown scales, radially symmetrical, and indefinitely up to 40 in long. Stipe remote, vascular system in a complex arrangement. Frond simply pinnate, dimorphous. Sterile fronds are elliptical, edges are shaply toothed. Fertile fronds are linear, lower surface covered with sporangia. Veins forming a single series of long narrow areoles close to the costa, otherwise free, without main veins, a gland present on the edge of each pinnae close to the base.
