Description


Rhizome long creeping. Stipe apart, brown hairy in lower surface. Fronds large, bipinnate or more compound. Lamina finely divided, usually bearing reddish or white hairs, herbaceous in texture, green to brownish in colour. Veins free. Sori apical, present on the veinlets, close to the margin of a lobe, usually protected by a small, thin, reflexed lobe of the lamina. Sporangium either coenosori in a marginal or sub-marginal commissure, or round in marginal.Veins usually free, rarely anastomosing without free included.
