Epiphytic ferns. Rhizome creeping. Fronds sessile, two kinds. One kind called nest fronds erect, sessile. Lamina persistent, broad, formed basket like appearance, deeply cordate at base, main veins dichotomously branched. Fertile fronds erect or pendulous, dichotomously branched from the base, basal parts of leaves thick and fleshy with rather narrow branches throughout, main veins sparingly dichotomous and then parrallel, veinlets obscure, anastomosing, with branched included veinlets. Sporangia covering large area on various parts of lower surface. Spores tetrahedral, smooth, hyaline.
