Flowers in rigid, terminal panicles. Sepals 3. Petals 3, smaller than sepals,
subequal,obovate. Stamens 6, all fertile, or 3 feetile and 3 sterile, all
filaments naked. Ovary of 3 subequallocules, 5- 10 ovuled, rarely 1-2 ovuled.
Fruit indehiscent, globose, often bluish or bluish-black, usually 5 – 10 ovuled.
Seeds usually 2 in two series, smooth.
