Description


Unarmed climber or scandent shrubs. Leaves pinnately compound, rachis and pinnae without gland, the terminal pinnae transformed into tendrils, leaflets opposite, stipules not spinescent. Inflorescence axillary or supra-axillary spike or spiciform racemes. Flowers male or bisexual. Sepals connate, 5-toothed. Petals 5, free or slightly connate at the base. Stamens 10, free, fertile. Ovary sessile to shortly stipitate, glabrous. Pods straight or curved to spirally twisted. Seeds globular to compressed, testa thick, brown, without pleurogram.
