Petals 5, subequal, imbricate, disc cupular, completely united with the
hypanthium. Stamens 5, free, exserted, anthers versatile, introrse. Ovary
stipitate, oblong or linear, ovules many, style short, stigma small, not
sharply distinct form the ovary. Fruit a pod, elongate, erect, flattened,
narrowly winged along the adaxial suture, 2-valved. Seeds compressed, slightly
