Description


Mostly woody herbs or shrubs. Leaves paripinnately compound, stipulate, usually with foliar glands on the petiole or rachis. Flowers yellow to red in supra-axillary racemes. Sepals 5, free. Petals 5, free, spreading. Stamens subequal, filaments short, anthers longer than the filaments, dehiscent by apical pores, margin of the anthers more or less with coiled hairs. Pods strap-shaped, elastically dehiscence, valves coiling after dehiscence. Seed coat pitted or smooth.
